How we rank electricians
Electricians are ranked on merit: reviews, local jobs and response time. The Featured slot is always PD Electrical, our own team, and is clearly labelled. Nobody can pay to move up the ranked list, and we only use public information about other businesses.
What decides the ranking?
Google rating weighted by number of reviews, completed jobs in that town, and typical response time. Ratings with few reviews count for less.
What is the Featured slot?
It is always PD Electrical, the business that owns this site. It sits above the ranked list, is labelled "Loved Locally", and is not part of the ranking.
Why do other electricians show "Prices not published"?
We never guess another firm's prices. We show the local typical range instead, so you can ask them for a quote.
Where does the data come from?
Public sources: Google Business profiles, NICEIC and NAPIT registers, and Companies House. Electricians can correct their listing at any time.
Can electricians pay to rank higher?
No. Nobody can buy a higher position in the ranked list. The only paid-for-style spot is our own Featured card, and it's clearly labelled.
Why does a listing say Unverified?
It means we've pulled the facts from public sources but haven't confirmed them with the firm yet. We show the date we checked so you know how fresh it is.
